This Skin I'm In is a vulnerable exploration of what it means to be a woman living in a body - her body, and surviving with it through trauma, shame and addiction. A full frontal, and an excavation of the soul, each poem is a love letter written by the author to herself and any woman who has ever felt the loneliness and pain of survival.
They are also a declaration of tenacity and victory written by a mother, sister, friend and little girl. This is not just a collection of poems but a handbook for survivors.
