Feminist Fair Isle Snood in Seaweed & Bourdeaux

This limited edition Feminist Fair Isle Scarf is a celebration of all things Black & Beech.

For 2021 we wanted to create a super snug and cosy snood to wear day in day out all winter long. We’ve designed our very own unique Black & Beech snood with Fair Isle motifs to create a really special scarf. 

The marriage of everything our founder Stacey is interested in is incorporated in this item: the strength and power of words and symbols; her love of handmade, crafted clothes; the ancient heritage of creating textiles from natural sustainable fibres; and knitting with its relationship to ‘women’s work’. All make Fair Isle feminist just seem so perfect!

Our production partners in Scotland have been creating products for luxury and premium brands since the 1800s, and everything is made in house to the highest standards of ethical and sustainable production.

  • 100 per cent pure new wool from Yorkshire
  • Our yarn is lambswool. The first sheering of the merino
  • Available in three colour pallets which complement our scarves and gloves

Delicious knit

Long time fan of Black and Beech and the attention to detail in EVERY one of Stacy's products, and this is no different. Super high quality knit, soft enough that it snuggles your neck, but structured enough to stand up and keep your ears warm if you want it to! It's beautiful. Can't recommend getting her knitwear enough, or giving it (if you're nice!).

Snood and gloves

Both the snood and gloves have been an absolute lifesaver in this dark Scottish winter! They are both incredible quality (as always with black and beech) and are so unique and special I get compliments every time I wear them! I’m sure they’ll last for years too!
