Feminist Folk Art Blanket 

In 2021 we commissioned Layla Holzer to depict our favourite feminist pioneers for a range of products. During this process Layla also created a range of motifs to represent what these iconic women stood for: clasped hands of sisterhood, fire representing the feminine, typewriters for seditious words, bird cages swung open.

Everywoman will find something is this stunning scene to set her intention and embody her power.

Bringing these elements together in her signature style influenced by folk-art as well as Stacey’s love of the domestic crafts of quilting and patchwork this woven blanket was developed.

Ours will be finishing our bed but would also look incredible as a wall hanging, a throw for your couch, or if you're really feeling fancy for camping and picnics. Our children already love snuggling up in this on a Sunday and it's a great opportunity to talk about what the meaning is within the piece.

Cool handwash. Do not wring, dry flat.

Manufactured entirely in the UK, woven in micro batches, and finished by hand by master weavers using recycled cotton to create a circular loop this is an heirloom piece for your home. The fibres are processed to give a very soft hand feel and the edge is stitched with a traditional blanket stitch.
