Care Guide
Care Guide
We make pieces designed to be worn, loved and kept for years to come. Looking after them properly helps them last longer and reduces their environmental impact too.
Please always check the care label inside your garment before washing, as instructions may vary between products and fabrics, and the label always takes priority over the general guidance below.
Wool Care
Our wool pieces are made using natural, renewable and biodegradable fibres, including beautifully soft merino lambswool spun in Yorkshire.
One of the best things about wool is that it naturally stays fresher for longer, meaning it needs far less washing than synthetic fabrics.
Everyday Care
- Air your knitwear between wears whenever possible
- Spot clean small marks rather than washing the whole garment
- Rest wool garments for 24 hours between wears to help fibres recover their shape
Washing
If your knit does need washing:
- Hand wash cool using a gentle wool detergent
- Wash inside out
- Avoid rubbing, wringing or twisting the fibres
- Rinse in cool water
- Gently squeeze out moisture using a towel
Drying
- Reshape whilst damp
- Dry flat on a towel
- Avoid direct sunlight or hanging, as this can stretch the fibres
Storage
- Store folded, never hung
- Keep away from moths using lavender or cedar products where possible
Pilling
Pilling is completely natural with soft luxury yarns and happens through friction during wear. A pilling comb or fabric shaver can be used to gently refresh your knitwear over time.
Cotton T-Shirts, Sweatshirts & Everyday Clothing
Most of our everyday pieces are made from cotton or cotton blends and are designed to be easy to care for.
General Care
- Wash with similar colours
- Turn garments inside out before washing
- Wash at 30°C where possible
- Avoid harsh detergents or bleach
- Do not tumble dry unless stated on the care label
- Cool iron on reverse if needed
Washing cooler and less often helps your clothes last longer, reduces fading and is kinder to the planet too.
Caps & Hats
- Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent
- Avoid the washing machine and tumble dryer, which can distort the shape and peak
- Air dry naturally, reshaping while damp
Tote Bags
- Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent
- Avoid the washing machine and tumble dryer - air dry to protect any print
- Iron on reverse, avoiding any printed area
Jewellery & Enamel Pins
- Keep away from water, perfume and lotions to preserve the finish
- Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth
- Store somewhere dry — a pouch or box helps prevent scratches and tarnishing
Mugs & Homeware
- Dishwasher safe unless the product page states otherwise
- For printed or hand-finished pieces, hand washing is gentlest and keeps colours bright
Swimwear
Swimwear needs a little extra care to stay in great shape. We've given it its own guide — see our Swimwear Care Guide.
