Dear Readers,

As the first daffodils peep through the February soil and we settle into this season of renewal, I'm delighted to introduce our inaugural curator for The Crib SheetStacey Heale.

Stacey brings a unique perspective shaped by her experiences as a writer, caregiver, and passionate advocate for women's stories. Her thoughtful curation reflects the essence of what The Crib Sheet aims to be: a space where powerful writing meets meaningful conversation, where brevity does not diminish depth.

For our first gathering, Stacey has selected  Chapter 4: Hare Moon from Caro Giles' evocative memoir Twelve Moons. Set against the backdrop of changing seasons, this chapter immerses readers in the rhythms of daily life, balancing the beauty of nature with the struggles and joys of parenting. The moon serves as a guiding force throughout, symbolising both the cyclical nature of existence and the emotional tides that shape the narrator's journey. In Hare Moon, Giles examines spring’s awakening energies and the wild, tender moments of transformation that echo our own paths.

With thanks to HarperCollins and Caro for sharing the chapter so you can read it for free!

Our online discussion will be taking place around the spring equinox on Wednesday, 19th March (TBC), so please make a note in your diary!
